Padres’ hitters must carry momentum into Milwaukee

Following a successful sweep of Chicago powered by a stellar offensive display, San Diego reached the postseason for the third consecutive year. Shifting from prior reliance on pitching, the club secured its latest berth thanks to late-season batting surges led by Fernando Tatis Jr., Jackson Merrill, Manny Machado, and Ty France.

The lineup aims to maintain this momentum into their next series.

After struggling in last year's wild card round against the Cubs, the bats rebounded dramatically by outscoring their opponents twelve to one in the recent two-game sweep. Machado contributed strongly with a home run, a double, two runs, and two RBIs during the effort.
