Klint Kubiak, Las Vegas Raiders’ new coaching staff produces immediate results in Week 1 versus Miami Dolphins

Klint Kubiak kicked off his head coaching career on a triumphant note as the Las Vegas Raiders defeated the Miami Dolphins 27-13 in their regular season opener. Kubiak, previously a Super Bowl-winning coordinator who received a game ball for the milestone, watched his squad control the contest across offense, defense, and special teams behind a dominant display by the offensive line.

Even with the two-touchdown margin, the new head coach noted dissatisfaction regarding his unit being shut out entirely during the fourth quarter.

In his franchise debut under center, veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins delivered three passing touchdowns to pace the scoring attack. One of those scoring strikes marked the 300th touchdown pass of Cousins' career, finding running back Ashton Jeanty.

Jeanty served as a primary offensive centerpiece throughout the day, drawing high praise from Cousins after making an immense dual-threat impact both carrying the ball and catching it.
