KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal fail as India A bowled out for 113 against New Zealand A

India A struggled significantly during the first day of their unofficial Test match, collapsing for 113 runs after being sent in to bat on a green surface. The visiting side faced intense pressure from the New Zealand A seam attack, with five batters failing to score and only Yash Rathod providing notable resistance with an unbeaten 44.

Simon Keene spearheaded the bowling effort by claiming five wickets for 24 runs, while Zak Gibson added three more to dismantle the lineup in under 40 overs. This series serves as a preparation period for Indian players looking to adjust to local conditions.

The hosts capitalized on the movement offered by the pitch to dominate the opening day of the four-day encounter.
