KL Rahul suffers bizarre hit-wicket dismissal after first-innings duck against New Zealand A

KL Rahul endured a difficult outing during the unofficial Test against New Zealand A, recording a first-innings duck before falling for four runs in the second. His second-innings departure was particularly unusual, as he accidentally dislodged his own bails with his bat while attempting to defend a delivery from Fraser Sheat.

India A struggled significantly on the green pitch, posting a total of 113 in their opening innings while New Zealand A responded with 317 to establish a 204-run lead. Simon Keene led the hosts' bowling attack with five wickets, while Devdutt Padikkal and Yash Rathod provided the most notable resistance for the visitors.

Other contributors for India A included Yashasvi Jaiswal, Anshul Kamboj, and Auqib Nabi, while the New Zealand A effort was bolstered by Zak Gibson, Rhys Mariu, and Curtis Heaphy.
