Kent has announced that Mikey Cohen will depart alongside Joey Evison when the 2026 campaign concludes. Cohen, the twenty-eight-year-old bowler born in South Africa and representing France, arrived prior to the 2024 season under residency qualification and claimed thirteen wickets across eleven total matches.
Meanwhile, Evison's transition to Sussex for 2027 was revealed back in July, though the twenty-four-year-old all-rounder arrived early to play the final five fixtures of the 2026 County Championship schedule.
Sussex secured the third position in Division One despite suffering a twelve-point penalty due to monetary problems, while Kent earned promotion to the top tier by taking second place in Division Two. Following this move, Evison will link back up with former Kent boss Matt Walker, who replaces Paul Farbrace at Hove for the 2027 term.
