England's struggles in the tri-series against Pakistan and Sri Lanka have continued, with the team losing all three of their matches so far. The squad failed to defend a 430-run target against Sri Lanka and is now preparing for a dead rubber fixture despite previously enjoying an unbeaten streak under Harry Brook.
Meanwhile, former captain Jos Buttler has shared an update regarding his recovery from hamstring surgery following an injury sustained during a home series against Sri Lanka. Buttler indicated that medical staff estimate a recovery period lasting between 12 and 16 weeks, suggesting he could return to action around September 2027 and possibly target the SA20 tournament after skipping upcoming international fixtures in South Africa and New Zealand.
Currently wearing a leg brace and undertaking rehabilitation at home, Buttler noted that the enforced break will allow him three to four months to refresh mentally and physically.
