Jon Sumrall named Dodd Trophy Coach of the Month for September

Florida's leader has guided the football program to its finest opening stretch since 2019 following four consecutive victories to begin the 2026 campaign. This impressive momentum resulted in the organization selecting the head honcho for its monthly coaching accolade.

Leadership highlighted the group's signature victory over a top-five opponent alongside consistent high-level execution through the opening month. The mentor has also achieved historic milestones by generating a record-setting point total and securing a spot among elite program pioneers who previously achieved four straight wins to start their tenures.

Advanced metrics further illustrate the squad's dominance across offense, defense, and special units, with high national rankings in rushing, tackling, and blocking efficiency.
