Nikola Jokic recorded his 199th career regular-season triple-double as the Denver Nuggets overcame a 23-point deficit to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans 141-135 in overtime. Jamal Murray contributed 42 points to the victory, while rookie Trevon Brazille added 17 points in his home debut.
Following the win, Jokic publicly criticized home supporters who booed the team during the first half, stating that those individuals should not return to future games. The Nuggets played without Cam Johnson, Alpha Diallo, Julian Strawther, and Spencer Jones.
For the Pelicans, Trey Murphy III led the scoring with 26 points, followed by Dejounte Murray with 22, and Derik Queen and Zion Williamson with 17 each. This loss marks the third consecutive defeat for New Orleans under head coach Jamahl Mosley.
