Jalen Hurts will go on injured reserve, miss at least four games and possibly more

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts has been placed on injured reserve due to a blood clot, ending his immediate run with the team. The move means Hurts will miss at least the next four games, including matchups against the Carolina Panthers, Dallas Cowboys, Washington Commanders, and New York Giants, before the team’s bye week.

His return timeline remains uncertain, with reports suggesting he could be out for much of the season, as blood clot treatments typically require extended recovery periods. The 2-3 Eagles will rely on backup quarterback Tanner McKee, with rookie Cole Payton and newly signed Joe Milton backing him up in the rotation as they navigate the NFC East race without their star player.
