Ja'Marr Chase ruled out after concussion evaluation

Cincinnati wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase was forced to exit the contest during the second quarter following a tackle by Jacksonville defensive back Jarrian Jones that also resulted in a facemask infraction. After undergoing mandatory concussion checks, team officials formally declared him unavailable for the remainder of the matchup shortly following intermission.

Before his departure, the playmaker secured three receptions totaling twenty-seven yards.

Down ten points at halftime facing a thirteen to three deficit, quarterback Joe Burrow must now direct his passing game toward alternative options such as Tee Higgins, Dohnte Meyers, and running back Chase Brown, who has already recorded six catches.
