Chennai Super Kings are moving forward with restructuring their coaching panel ahead of the 2027 Indian Premier League season. Franchise executives are actively negotiating with former English cricketer Gareth Batty to take over as batting coach.

Batty brings strong managerial experience from his tenure leading Surrey in the County Championship, where he secured three successive titles. Additionally, management confirmed that former Indian fast bowler Mohit Sharma will step into the bowling coach position, following a recommendation from newly appointed head coach Zaheer Khan.
