Inside Herta's Cadillac F1 audition - and how he compared to Perez

Colton Herta completed an extra practice session for Cadillac in Mexico as part of his ongoing evaluation for a potential race seat next year alongside Perez. Despite a miscalculation regarding the superlicence system leaving him narrowly short of the necessary forty points, the team arranged additional running that allowed Herta to undergo a comprehensive testing programme comparable to Perez.

During the sessions on both hard and medium tyres, the data highlighted distinct areas for improvement, notably in the slower corners and the technical stadium section where he lost significant time relative to Perez.
