India has finalized its 17-member Test squad for the upcoming two-match series against New Zealand, set to begin on November 19. The team features a mix of experienced players and fresh faces, with Jasprit Bumrah making a highly anticipated return after missing the recent Sri Lanka series.
The squad includes two additional seamers, Anshul Kamboj and Akash Deep, who will make their first appearances since the England series if selected. Meanwhile, vice-captain Rishabh Pant’s inclusion remains conditional on his fitness, as he recovered from an injury sustained during the Irani Cup and did not participate in Delhi’s Ranji Trophy opener.
B. Sai Sudharsan has been recalled to replace Sarfaraz Khan, who was sidelined due to injury during the Sri Lanka series.
The squad also retains key players like Shubman Gill, KL Rahul, and Ravindra Jadeja, ensuring a blend of youth and experience for the challenging series ahead.
