India has finalized its 15-member squad for the three-match ODI series against New Zealand, set to begin on November 4 in Auckland. Shubman Gill and KL Rahul will lead the team for the first three ODIs, with Gill serving as captain and Rahul as wicketkeeper.
However, both players will miss the final two matches, with Shreyas Iyer stepping in as captain for those games. Uncapped wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra has been called up for his international debut, replacing Rahul in the last two fixtures.
The squad includes experienced all-rounders like Axar Patel and Naman Dhir, while pacers Auqib Nabi and Yash Thakur will join midway through the series. Ravindra Jadeja was notably left out, with Prasidh Krishna’s inclusion contingent on his fitness.
Fast bowlers Mohd. Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav, along with young talents Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan, round out the team’s batting and bowling options.
