India secured their spot in the gold medal match of the 2026 Asian Games men's cricket tournament after defeating Sri Lanka by a massive 124 runs. Ishan Kishan led the batting effort with an unbeaten 80, supported by Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's quickfire 38, allowing India to total 169 for 7.
In response, a lethal bowling attack spearheaded by Jasprit Bumrah alongside Axar Patel and Abhishek Sharma dismantled the opposition for just 45 runs in under ten overs. Meanwhile, Pakistan advanced to the final by overcoming Bangladesh by four wickets in a rain-affected first semi-final where the target of 112 was chased down in 11.3 overs under the leadership of Sahibzada Farhan.
Sri Lanka will now face Bangladesh in the bronze medal fixture.
