India advance to final four as men’s cricket quarterfinal gets abandoned due to rain

Heavy rainfall in Nisshin completely washed out the Asian Games men's cricket quarterfinal fixture between India and Afghanistan without a single delivery being bowled. Due to superior tournament seeding based on their leading position in the ICC T20I standings, the Indian squad automatically secured a spot in the final four.

They are now set to battle the victor of the upcoming quarterfinal clash between Sri Lanka and Nepal for a place in the championship match.
