IND vs WI, 2nd T20I: Ishan Kishan returns home with Ranchi ready for a spectacle

India holds a 1-0 series lead heading into the second T20I against West Indies in Ranchi, following a dominant first match where Shreyas Iyer scored an unbeaten 102 to guide a 172-run chase completed in just 14.4 overs. The Jharkhand native Ishan Kishan returns to his home ground at the JSCA Stadium on Friday, October 9, for a contest where evening dew is expected to impact playing conditions.

West Indies, who were bowled out for 171 in the opener after losing three powerplay wickets, must overcome India's effective spin attack to avoid falling further behind. Bowling coach Ravi Rampaul has indicated that the visitors plan to rely on middle-order batters like Nicholas Pooran and Shai Hope to navigate the spin-heavy middle overs.

The match, scheduled to begin with a toss at 6:30 PM IST, will be streamed on JioHotstar and broadcast on Star Sports Network.
