If Zack Baun misses Week 4? ‘Trot was born ready'

With Zack Baun expected to sit out the upcoming matchup against the Rams due to a concussion, Philadelphia is preparing to insert Jeremiah Trotter Jr. into a primary defensive role.

Teammate Jihaad Campbell expressed full confidence in the twenty-three-year-old linebacker, noting his professional preparation habits and sharp instincts. Trotter, drafted out of Clemson during the fifth round in 2024, previously made limited starts during the final weeks of the 2024 and 2025 regular seasons.

Facing a formidable Los Angeles offense orchestrated by Matthew Stafford alongside targets like Davante Adams and Puka Nacua, the young defender emphasized maintaining proper vision and returning to fundamentals to handle complex pre-snap misdirection. While the green-dot helmet communication responsibilities remain undecided for Sunday afternoon, Trotter spent extensive time taking first-team repetitions throughout training camp alongside both Baun and Campbell.
