How to follow Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia on the BBC

Formula 1 is heading to Malaysia for round 16 of the 2026 season to run the Bahrain Grand Prix between October 2 and October 4. This event was relocated because the original April dates were canceled due to the conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, and Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa heavily influenced the agreement to hold the race in Malaysia while Bahrain keeps the naming rights.

In previous action, George Russell secured victory in Azerbaijan and leads the championship standings alongside teammates and rivals. Fans can catch live coverage across BBC platforms, including Radio 5 Live and BBC Sounds, while the weather forecast predicts thundery showers throughout the weekend with temperatures reaching 33 degrees Celsius.
