How Man City plan to argue their innocence in appeal

Legal representatives for the club intend to maintain that the financial injection originated directly via the government of Abu Dhabi rather than from primary stakeholder Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Legal counsel for the organization also plans to contest the procedural framework governing the appeal. Because the initial charges were brought in 2023 and the subsequent hearing occurred a year later, lawyers may argue that a recently enacted expedited appeals timeline should not apply to their case, potentially extending the legal process into the following year.
