How Fallen Oak Became One of America’s Most Exclusive Golf Courses

Fallen Oak Golf Club near Biloxi, Mississippi, stands as a premier regional golf destination known for its championship layout and natural surroundings. Originally conceived by casino executive Steve Wynn in the early 1990s as an amenity for the Beau Rivage resort, the project materialized after MGM Grand took over his gaming interests and enlisted architect Tom Fazio to bring the concept to life following the completion of Shadow Creek in Las Vegas.

Opening in November 2006, the course utilized the native rolling terrain, streams, wetlands, and mature timber of the area rather than artificial desert landscaping.
