William Karlsson will remain with the Vegas Golden Knights for the foreseeable future after agreeing to a two-year contract extension carrying an annual salary of $6.75 million. The veteran center, who is 33 years old, was previously playing out the final season of an eight-year deal valued at $47.2 million that he signed back in 2019.
This fresh agreement secures his presence with the franchise through the conclusion of the 2028-29 campaign.
Having been selected from the Columbus Blue Jackets during the 2017 expansion draft, Karlsson stands as one of the original members of the team and helped guide the club to a Stanley Cup title during his tenure. Across 570 regular-season appearances for Vegas, he has accumulated 191 goals, 238 assists, and 429 total points.
Following an earlier extension granted to team captain Mark Stone in September, this latest signing successfully resolves another major offseason priority for the organization.
