New England Patriots tight end Hunter Henry has been recognized by the NFL Players Association as their Community MVP for Week 6. The honor comes after Henry organized his second annual 'Freedom to Play' ping pong tournament in partnership with International Justice Mission, an event that drew participation from several of his teammates.
The tournament successfully raised over $220,000, with all proceeds directed toward combating human trafficking and modern slavery. Henry expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing his commitment to raising global awareness for the cause.
As part of the NFLPA’s initiative, a $10,000 donation will be made to International Justice Mission in Henry’s name. Additionally, his selection makes him eligible for the Alan Page Award, which will be awarded at the end of the 2026 season to the player who best exemplifies community service throughout the year.
