Florida State’s dynamic sophomore running back **Ousmane Kromah** was forced off the field with a visible injury late in the first half of Saturday’s matchup against Miami, exiting with just over a minute remaining in the second quarter. Kromah, who had already established himself as the Seminoles’ leading rusher with 565 yards and five touchdowns on 100 carries this season, left after a nine-yard gain on a first-down run.
His absence leaves Florida State with limited depth at the position, as backup Sam Singleton Jr. is also dealing with an extended injury, and the next options are redshirt freshman Amari Thomas and junior ‘Tre Wisner.
Before the injury, Kromah had carried the ball 14 times for 44 yards in the first half, outpacing quarterback Ashton Daniels, who ranks second on the team with 323 rushing yards. The game remained tied at 14 when play was halted for halftime, with Kromah’s status now a critical question for Florida State’s offensive plans moving forward.
