From "paper car" to pole – What changed for Verstappen and Red Bull?

Max Verstappen recently secured a pole position after previously qualifying in sixth place at Monza under a month ago. During that earlier weekend, the driver described his vehicle as being constructed from paper while discussing degradation problems.

According to both Verstappen and team principal Laurent Mekies, those specific durability troubles cannot be entirely fixed during the current 2026 season.
