Manchester United’s dramatic Champions League comeback against Roma delivered a rare moment of magic at Old Trafford, proving even the most dismal of nights can end in triumph. After Roma dominated the first half with two goals and nearly a third, United’s late penalty and equalizer—followed by Bruno Fernandes’ decisive strike—turned the game on its head.

Fernandes also assisted the opener and was instrumental in the final goal before collecting a red card in injury time, while Matheus Cunha’s goal and assist sealed the 3-2 victory. The win marked Roma’s first in England in 25 years and 17 attempts, leaving them stunned by the turnaround.

However, the triumph came at a cost: Carlos Baleba suffered a hamstring injury early in the second half and left in tears, while Cunha’s dismissal means he’ll miss United’s upcoming trip to Lisbon.
