Former Seahawks running backs try out for Dolphins following De’Von Achane ACL tear

Following a season-ending ACL tear sustained by star running back De'Von Achane during a matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs, the Miami Dolphins held workouts for four running backs to bolster their depth. Among the group evaluated by Miami were former Seattle Seahawks players Kenny McIntosh and Damien Martinez.

McIntosh entered the league as a seventh-round pick in 2023, spent time on Seattle's active roster with brief offensive snaps in 2024, and spent the entirety of 2025 recovering from a training camp ACL injury before being waived over the summer. Martinez was selected in the seventh round of the 2025 draft, spent time on Seattle's practice squad following preseason cuts, and later joined the Green Bay Packers practice squad in December before being released ahead of the most recent preseason.
