Former Grand Slam champion set to drop 60 places in the rankings and fall outside the top 180 in the world now

Former major winner Sofia Kenin is facing a steep descent in the tennis rankings following a difficult stretch of matches. The 2020 Australian Open champion is projected to drop past the top 180 spots globally after missing out on direct entry to the Tokyo Open and failing to defend previous points.

Throughout the current season, the American competitor has managed only eight victories across 33 matches while struggling to string consecutive wins together at any tournament.
