Former Auburn quarterback Jackson Arnold is making a significant impact in his first season with UNLV, earning a spot among the nation’s most influential transfer players through five weeks of the 2026 campaign. According to On3’s rankings, Arnold stands third nationally behind Missouri’s Austin Simmons and Oregon State’s Braden Atkinson, highlighting his immediate contribution to the Rebels’ offense.
Under head coach Dan Mullen, Arnold has thrown for 1,063 yards and eight touchdowns while adding 270 rushing yards and five touchdowns on the ground, including a standout 110-yard, two-touchdown performance against Cal. UNLV, currently at 3-2, has seen Arnold thrive in a dual-threat role, ranking second in the Mountain West in both passing yards and touchdowns behind only Hawaii’s Micah Alejado and San Jose State’s Luke Weaver.
His turnaround is stark compared to his 2025 season at Auburn, where he posted 1,309 passing yards and six touchdowns but faced heavy pressure with 30 sacks and limited offensive support under former coach Hugh Freeze.
