Florida's Jayden Woods added to Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List

Florida defensive standout Jayden Woods earned a spot on the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List following a dominant four-game stretch to begin the season. The Maxwell Football Club announced the midseason addition, recognizing a campaign that already features nineteen total tackles, six tackles for loss, and four sacks spanning fifteen yards, alongside a forced fumble and a quarterback hurry.

His current defensive output surpasses his entire freshman production of 3.5 sacks and five tackles for loss, a performance that previously earned him SEC all-freshman honors.

Woods recently secured the Chuck Bednarik Player of the Week honor after delivering a career-best afternoon with 3.5 tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks during a 44-39 triumph against Auburn. During a subsequent 52-28 victory over Ole Miss in the fourth week, he contributed four tackles, two tackles for loss, and a crucial strip-sack late in the third quarter that led directly to a Florida touchdown.

Teammate Myles Graham was previously named to the same watch list ahead of the season.
