Final Score: Jets Win!

The New York Jets launched their 2026 NFL campaign on September 13 with a commanding 23-10 road victory over the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium. Quarterback Geno Smith earned his first start for New York in 3,612 days, leading an early surge that featured an opening-quarter rushing touchdown by Kenyon Sadiq against defender James Williams Sr.

The matchup also showcased young talent, including Tennessee first-round selections Carnell Tate and Keldric Faulk, while New York called up kicker Jason Sanders to the active roster ahead of kickoff.

The defeat marked a disappointing debut for Robert Saleh on the Tennessee sideline as he faced his former squad. Frustrated home fans eventually directed boos toward the struggling Titans offense, cementing a decisive Week 1 outcome for the visiting Jets.
