One month into the 2026 NFL season, fantasy football managers are finding early preseason projections holding up well, particularly for teams with high early-round draft capital. The Bears, Bengals, Lions, and Cowboys each had multiple players selected in the first three rounds, and their offenses are delivering on expectations.
Chicago leads all teams in yards per game, while Detroit ranks first in PPR points per game, with Cincinnati and Dallas also performing above average in key statistical categories. However, not every player from these teams has lived up to the hype—some key contributors remain underperforming, leaving room for late bloomers like Cincinnati’s Chase Brown, who has increased his route-running involvement and target share despite a stifled run game against Jacksonville.
The Jaguars’ aggressive run defense forced Cincinnati into a pass-heavy approach, but Brown has adapted by running routes on 64% of plays in Week 4, up from 52% in the prior three games. His target efficiency has also improved, suggesting he could be a breakout candidate if the offense continues to lean on him.
Meanwhile, the Bears’ Colston Loveland has shown early signs of resurgence, hinting at potential upside for other underperforming players in high-scoring offenses.
