Fabregas: ‘A wonderful night for Como, but must stay humble’ after 9-1 victory

Como manager Cesc Fabregas urged his squad to remain grounded following a historic 9-1 Champions League away victory against Lens. The result, which featured a hat-trick from Tasos Douvikas and goals from Nico Paz, Lucas Da Cunha, Marc-Oliver Kempf, Mattia Liberali, Martin Baturina, and Matteo Papaccioli, marks the first time an Italian club has netted nine times in a European away fixture.

Como currently sits fourth in the tournament standings after four matches.

Despite the dominant performance, Fabregas expressed frustration over conceding a goal to former Monaco teammate Ruben Aguilar. The manager emphasized the need for continued hard work as the team prepares for an upcoming domestic clash against Inter Milan, marking their sixth consecutive win across all competitions.
