Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Rob Baxter has highlighted the enhanced economic security established at Sandy Park following the club's buyout by Black Knight. Valued at roughly £25 million, the transaction transitioned the side away from a members-owned model and wiped out several lingering liabilities.
Baxter noted that escaping a persistent hand-to-mouth existence and constant cash-flow concerns has significantly improved their operational baseline, with early capital already deployed into medical devices and practice gear during the initial three months under the new leadership.
While Black Knight has largely maintained a hands-off approach thus far, Baxter anticipates their involvement will gradually expand as the campaign progresses. He expects the ownership group to eventually exert greater sway over business operations and the rugby division, along with instituting modifications to matchday experiences and commercial initiatives.
