England see off USA, but fail to hit top gear

England secured a 55-12 victory against the United States in New Jersey to conclude their WXV Global Series campaign. Claudia Moloney-MacDonald led the scoring with four tries, while Meg Jones, Ellie Kildunne, Maddie Feaunati, and others contributed to the total.

Despite the win, head coach John Mitchell faces concerns regarding set-piece consistency and defensive physicality after the hosts challenged the visitors throughout the match.

The United States remained competitive for long stretches, with Hope Rogers and Kate Zackary scoring tries for the home side. Alev Kelter provided a notable defensive highlight with a significant tackle on the England captain.

While England eventually pulled away in the second half, the match highlighted areas for improvement ahead of their upcoming Six Nations title defense.
