Gemma Steel and Lee Gratton secured the inaugural English Masters Cross Country titles at Betley Court Farm during a fixture that also served as the selection trials for the upcoming international competition in Dublin this November. Steel triumphed in the W40 category ahead of runner-up Katie Latham, while Gratton claimed the men's top honours with a solid performance in the 8km race.
Additional age-group victories went to competitors including Helen Haigh, Rachael Bourne, Rachel Marshall, and Ben Robinson, setting the stage for the autumn showdown.
