Australian star Ellyse Perry has expressed disappointment regarding the national women squad missing out on fixtures during the prime home summer window. She pointed out that overlapping leagues such as the Women's Premier League have occupied January, preventing the team from performing in front of local supporters during the traditional peak of the season.
Before a lengthy five-month gap in their domestic schedule, the squad is set to compete in six white-ball matches against Bangladesh and New Zealand, beginning at Allan Border Field in Brisbane.
