EF Education-EasyPost pick up another climber for 2027 after Carapaz departure

EF Education-EasyPost has secured Colombian climber Ivan Sosa for the 2027 season as he prepares to return to the WorldTour. The rider, who spent the last two years with Kern Pharma, previously competed for Ineos and Movistar after being scouted by Gianni Savio.

Following a 2025 surgery to address an iliac artery issue, Sosa demonstrated renewed form with a stage win and second-place overall finish at the Tour of Turkey, alongside strong breakaway performances at the Vuelta a España. Team CEO Jonathan Vaughters expects the climber to provide significant support in high-mountain stages.

This roster move follows the departure of Richard Carapaz, who exited his contract early to join NSN Cycling.
