Dream's Angel Reese makes WNBA defensive history not seen this century

Angel Reese has reached a significant defensive milestone during her debut postseason run with the Atlanta Dream. By accumulating 16 combined steals and blocks across four playoff appearances, she has achieved a level of defensive production unseen from a WNBA center in the 21st century.

Her performance helped propel the Dream to a 101-98 overtime victory against the New York Liberty in Game 2, giving Atlanta a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series. Reese contributed 23 points to the win, which marked the franchise's fourth consecutive playoff victory.

The team now travels to Brooklyn for the next game, needing one more win to secure a spot in the WNBA Finals. This success follows a transformative trade that brought Reese to Atlanta after her tenure with the Chicago Sky.
