Mariners News: Aaron Boone, Garrett Mitchell, and Jake Bauers

The New York Yankees were eliminated from the postseason following a 4-3 defeat against the Tampa Bay Rays, a game marked by a controversial fan interference ruling. Despite calls for his dismissal, manager Aaron Boone retains the support of Aaron Judge.

Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Brewers advanced to the NLCS after Garrett Mitchell prevented a game-tying home run to secure a 3-1 victory. In other playoff action, the Los Angeles Dodgers eliminated the Atlanta Braves with a 4-1 win, and the Cleveland Guardians kept their season alive by defeating the Chicago White Sox 9-3.

Regarding personnel updates, former Seattle Mariner Jake Bauers nearly retired prior to his successful 2026 campaign. Additionally, Matt Kleine and Rob Cerfolio have emerged as potential candidates for the Oakland Athletics general manager vacancy.
