Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel is keeping his starting quarterback plans under wraps for the upcoming SEC matchup against Alabama. While George MacIntyre started in the team's recent 24-17 victory over Arkansas, his performance included two interceptions and inconsistent play.
The Volunteers are also monitoring the shoulder injury of Faizon Brandon, who has recorded seven passing touchdowns and three rushing scores this season. By withholding his decision, Heupel forces Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer to prepare for both potential signal-callers until the final deadline before kickoff.
Brandon has accumulated 697 passing yards across five appearances, while MacIntyre threw for 247 yards in his most recent outing.
