Dragons draw URC opener at Benetton after late drama

The opening match of the United Rugby Championship campaign ended in a stalemate as the visiting team narrowly missed a game-winning kick in the final moments. Francois Mey, Bautista Bernasconi, and Ignacio Mendy contributed tries for the hosts, who established an early advantage before the interval.

Meanwhile, responses from the touring squad came via scores from Tinus de Beer, Fine Inisi, and Elliot Dee, culminating in a tied finish after de Beer's closing conversion struck the goal frame.
