DP World Tour forcing players to ‘make a choice’ with LIV Golf at crossroads

The DP World Tour has issued a strict ultimatum requiring athletes to decide between remaining on the European circuit or participating in the rebel golf circuit's upcoming season. Leadership has indicated that membership rules must be respected, meaning competitors who choose the rival league will lose eligibility for the European squad at the next Ryder Cup and forfeit their spots for 2027.

This shift in policy arrives as the breakaway circuit attempts to navigate financial restructuring and bankruptcy proceedings. Prominent players including Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, David Puig, and Adrian Meronk have distanced themselves from joining the alternative circuit next year, while Richard Bland stands as the sole participant to publicly commit.
