Ayush Mhatre, Mumbai vice-captain, ruled out for 4-6 weeks with Grade 4 hamstring tear

Mumbai vice-captain Ayush Mhatre faces a recovery period of four to six weeks after suffering a severe right hamstring tear. The top-order batter sustained the Grade 4 injury during a Ranji fixture against Chandigarh, having contributed 48 runs in the opening innings before missing the third day of play.

This setback follows an earlier hamstring problem that prematurely ended his campaign with the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League earlier in the year.
