The National League Championship Series heats up Monday as the Los Angeles Dodgers look to answer the Milwaukee Brewers’ 2-1 victory in Game 1. The matchup resumes at 5 p.m.
ET on FOX and FS1, with the Brewers holding a slim series lead after a dramatic opener. For the Dodgers, postseason ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto takes the mound, aiming to build on his recent dominance in October, including a complete-game shutout in last year’s NLCS against Milwaukee.
Yamamoto’s track record in high-pressure games is unmatched, boasting an elite 2.14 ERA across 11 postseason starts, with the Dodgers winning all but one of those appearances. Meanwhile, the Brewers turn to rookie right-hander Logan Henderson, who has yet to allow more than three runs in any of his 24 career starts.
Though lacking Jacob Misiorowski’s velocity, Henderson’s fastball ranks in the 90th percentile for run value, and his changeup is considered one of the Brewers’ best secondary pitches. The stakes couldn’t be higher, as teams trailing 2-0 in best-of-seven series have only rallied to win 17% of the time historically.
With Yamamoto and Henderson both poised for strong performances, Monday’s game could decide the series’ momentum.
