DeWanna Bonner becoming Dream savior — Liberty nightmare — in playoff task she’s built for

Veteran forward DeWanna Bonner proved instrumental for the Atlanta Dream in their 92-82 Game 1 semifinal victory over the New York Liberty. Stepping up after teammate Allisha Gray exited with a hand injury, Bonner recorded 23 points and nine rebounds in over 30 minutes of play.

Her leadership and halftime speech helped spark a decisive third-quarter surge for Atlanta. Coach Karl Smesko has not yet provided a status update for Gray, but Bonner remains a key option for the remainder of the series.
