Ex-ESPN Host Uses Michael Jordan Example to Shut Down Caitlin Clark Critics After Fever's Playoff Exit

Following the Indiana Fever's early exit from the postseason, former broadcaster Linda Cohn defended Caitlin Clark against recent criticism regarding her playoff performance. Cohn dismissed the negative narrative by highlighting that Clark has played fewer than 100 professional games, noting that Michael Jordan required over 500 appearances before securing his first title.

This response targeted a social media post that questioned whether Clark had yet achieved the level of postseason success typically expected of a superstar. During her 2024 rookie campaign, Clark averaged 18.0 points, 8.5 assists, and 5.0 rebounds before her team was eliminated in a two-game sweep by the Connecticut Sun.
