Deion Sanders and Colorado lost to Utah, so why was he so 'proud' afterward?

Following a tight three-point defeat against the eleventh-ranked Utes, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders admitted to an uncharacteristic reaction by expressing genuine satisfaction with his squad's resilience during his postgame address. Despite tumbling into an early thirteen-point hole before briefly claiming the advantage in the third period, the Buffaloes ultimately suffered their fourth consecutive setback to slide to two wins and four losses overall, while the victorious visitors pushed their flawless run to six victories.

Sanders praised his players and staff for battling until the final whistle despite executing poorly at critical junctures. Quarterback Isaac Wilson sparked a late surge by engineering an eighty-three-yard scoring drive to narrow the gap before a frantic final sequence ended with a negated forward pass.
