DC cricketer back in squad ahead of Ranji days after bail in sexual offence case

Abishek Porel has rejoined the Bengal senior men's squad for the upcoming 2026 Ranji Trophy competition. This return follows his recent release on bail after facing severe accusations of sexual assault and intimidation.

Police previously took the Delhi Capitals cricketer into custody on August 11 following an accusation brought forward by a medical student concerning their prior association. He has remained inactive in matches since the conclusion of the 2026 Indian Premier League.
