Sean O'Malley says Daniel Cormier reached out after UFC 333 drama, admits feeling past suspicions of 'bias'

Sean O'Malley addressed recent commentary surrounding his status as a title contender following the bantamweight results at UFC 333. Although Petr Yan secured a victory in Abu Dhabi, the post-fight interview omitted O'Malley, leading to discussions about potential bias from broadcaster Daniel Cormier.

O'Malley confirmed he spoke directly with Cormier, who clarified that he views the fighter as the rightful next challenger for the championship. While O'Malley acknowledged past feelings of animosity from the commentator during his earlier career, he now attributes those perceptions to the difficulty of the broadcasting role rather than personal dislike.

Coach Tim Welch had previously raised concerns regarding Cormier's impartiality toward the fighter.
